About Wired, Wireless and Hybrid Intruder Alarms

Wired intruder alarm systems use wiring from each monitored location back to the location of the fuse board.  Where your home is pre-wired it makes sense to bell out the cables to ensure that there are no breaks in the cables prior to having the new intruder alarms installed.

A wireless panel will be used in conjunction with wireless detectors, it makes sense to use a wireless panel and equipment where the wiring and in particular the chasing of walls to bury the cables is a costly and dirty job; which may require redecorating.

Hybrid HKC panel allows the use of both wired and wireless equipment, it gives flexibility where if cables get damaged or additions to the system can be easily carried out.
